Care and Community visits

Mike from Care and Community arranged a visit at Edwards. Two of my best volunteers Callie and Collette came around on their vacation day to help lead this tour. Everyone had a great time visiting with the animals!

Dr. Dale Rice arrives just in time!

Dr. Dale and his Vet assistant Kim arrived just in time to save Jessica the llama.  When they arrived Jessica was choking. Dale got immediately to work by inserting a tube down her throat to remove the blockage.
Then Dr. Dale used skills learned maybe from siphoning gas to help remove the blockage. That was quite nasty! but it worked.
Next he checked Jessica's teeth. They were so overgrown that she could no longer eat or chew.
He was able to use his tooth floating skills to correct her teeth.
He gives her a final check and declares that she is good to go.Thank you Dr. Rice and Kim!
