Care and Community first snowfall

After working in the barn, these wonderful volunteers from Care and Community had time and energy for some fun in the snow before hot chocholate and cake to warm up.
Still fun for Carrie, Chance and Jeremy.
 Matthew got a dusting :).
Zach and Conner are followed and loved by Valentine.
Valentine loves all the extra attention and loves to play in the snow.
Dan is dressed for the weather and is such good help.
Anthony has music to help him sing to the Animals.
We thank everyone for their help on this our first snow of the Thanksgiving season.

It was such a beautiful morning here at Edwards Foundation! All the animals say hello!
Nathan checking out the camera! Come give this cutie a visit. He might even try and plant a kiss!

 Goldie enjoying her breakfast!
Starbucks always has his nose in everything.
Angel peeks out of the feeder. And thanks to her medications, she is happy and hopping around.

Election Day Feasting

Pine tree branches and bark are the appetizers.
 Open salad bar!
They skipped the main course and went straight to dessert!

Tagawa's Pumpkins

Michelle and helper arranged a wonderful donation of left over pumpkins for our animals!
All volunteers pitched in to load three trucks to the brim!
What a super golden harvest that was donated to our animals!
All the animals enjoyed the special treat and they didn't even have to do any tricks!

New Feeder from Murdock's

Valentine is loving the new feeder that Murdock's helped us purchase. And all the other animals and goats love using it and this way the goats can`t jump into it.

Mary Ellen Weyland's class of Animal Healers

This is the greeting committee for a group of students learning to communicate and heal animals.
Mudpie and Bubblegum join the trio Ziggy, Marley and Newt in welcoming our visitors.
Valentine arrived with an injured horn and these students work to give positive energy her way.

Rolling Hills Elementary Student Council Meet and Greet

Volunteers Olivia, Ryann, and Carmen take Oreo and BooBoo to visit Rolling Hills Student Council.
At the end of the school year the Student Council voted to make a very generous donation to the Edwards Foundation.
All the students loved meeting these two little Pygmy goats.  They had many questions.
BooBoo loved all the special attention.
The Student Council sponsor Miss Coleen Thurber accepted our Thank You Certificate on behalf of the school, the Student Council and last year's sponsor.

Timber the Turkey

Tom the Turkey came to us over weight and in poor health.  With genetic modifications and hormone treatments made to many fowl, most turkeys are altered to be double breasted with rapid weight gain.  This causes turkeys to have heart attacks or broken bones before 6 months of age.

This is Tom now known as Timber the Turkey.
He says Gobble Gobble he is very thankful he will NOT be on the dinner table!!!
P.S. He is showing off his snood and wattle to his girlfriend Tina Turkey.;
