Alfalfa was adopted by Janelle!

Alfalfa has a new mama and family. Janelle and family can't take him home yet, so they are boarding him here for now. They also adopted a rooster and renamed him Gumdrop. They visit Alfalfa and the other animals and provide lots of love and care. Thanks Janelle and congratulations on your new family members! Pictures to follow when the weather improves!

Duck eggs

Have you ever seen a natural egg with a black shell? Some of our ducks are Cayuga (picture of Envy). They lay black eggs at the start of the season. The egg shells get lighter as the season progresses. Who knew?

Update on Dealer

Dealer was diagnosed with eye cancer and was taken to CSU February 23rd for treatment. He was originally scheduled for an evaluation of an eye tumor at in April 2020, but due to the pandemic he wasn't able to be seen until February 2021. We have chronicled Dealer's medical care on our Facebook page where you can find all of the details. We would like to acknowledge the amazing medical professionals that have taken such great care of Dealer over the last couple of months. Thanks to Dr. Martabano and the amazing Opthamology Team at CSU and Dr Bass for performing the emergency eye removal. We also want to thank all of the people that donated to support Dealer's medical treatment. We are excited that Dealer is scheduled to come home March 20th.
