Freckles Gets a Forever Home

This is Freckles telling Brenda 'thank you' for adopting me and taking such good care of me!
And Brenda is just as happy as Freckles

Freckles is so happy for new Spring grass in his field!

Nanni and Toli

Here are the two boar ewes arriving from their long journey to us from Alamogordo, New Mexico
The wonderful couple that teaches for the German Air Force. They arrived in the states in 2010 and are leaving back to Germany this year. They will be taking their horses and mini donkey, but are leaving the two female goats with us.
One of the new additions saying hi to Pancake
Getting acclimated to their new surroundings
Our great High School volunteers taking Nanni and Toli for a walk.

Sonic Headed for New Home

Displaying 20140405_122500.jpg
This is Teri from Terolyn, and one of the horses purchased from the sale dominated by killers. Once he was healthy, the network from the Morgan Safe Net found him a beautiful new home in Maine. He will be able to live out his life there with Kathryn, who has funded his transport and medications.

This weekend, I took all of my clipper blades down to Murdock's in Parker to the mobile sharpening trailer. The owner Kim Nelson is a Certified Master Sharpener, and the quote on his card said "I take personal pride in every job I do. If you're not happy, I promise to make you happy." When I went to pick up the blades, Kim introduced me to his beautiful rescued Golden Retriever. What a kind professional man, he will check out finding a sheep sheerer for us, and on top of that, he did not charge for his blade sharpening service. His phone number is (303)906-1717 and he will be there on weekends.

He also does knives, scissors, razors, lawn mower blades, chainsaw blades, shovels and hoes, hatchets and axes, woodworking tools, and anything else that you may want to ask him about.

Make Mine a Chocolate!

                Make Mine Chocolate!

Before buying a pet Rabbit or Chick for you house at Easter please consider these facts:

*Rabbits and Chickens are not low maintenance pets.  They require as much work as a dog or cat.

*Rabbits can live 8 to 10 years sometimes longer. Chicks 5 years or more

*The necessary spay or neuter for rabbits can cost $200 dollars or more and rabbits require routine vet
care.  Chicks can grow into noisy roosters.

*Rabbits and chicks when grown are not cuddly- they can become frightened when held.

*Rabbits and chicks cannot be set “free”--- it can be a death sentence.

*This Easter why not make it a Chocolate bunny or chick.

*Or a cuddly stuffed toy instead of a live animal.
Help make it a happy Easter for bunnies, chicks and ducklings, too.

Help spread the word that bunnies, chicks and baby ducks are not disposable pets.

Alternatives to live animals:
-Chocolate bunnies
-Realistic looking toys
-Decorated Easter baskets
-Colored Easter eggs
-Fuzzy stuffed play animals.
-Spring bouquets

These are some better options to Easter gifts.

Sping and signs of green grass

Tyler is a volunteer from Ponderosa High School and he took Dealer to get some new Spring grass.
Kallie takes Goldie to look for green grass accompanied by Angel the goat if you look closely you can see Tiger the cat supervising.
Mark also from Ponderosa High School lets Toby the pony get some green.
The llamas get taken to grass by Jacque, Dawson, and Susan.
