Girl Scout Troop #3380 visits
These girl scouts were so safe and helped with stall cleaning and feeding. They came from Northstar Academy and had a good time helping with chores.
They all pitched in to help with the evening chores. They even brought big dog and little dog food and cat food and cat litter. We thank them for all their help. Many got llama kisses!Rocky Mountain Horseshoeing Give trims
This is Chelsea from Rocky Mountain Horseshoeing. Sometimes you have to be a gymnast to be able to trim short legged burros! All the animals were glad to get their feet trimmed for spring.
Chelsea and Rene make a good trimming team for the minis -Hannah the burro and Toby the pony. They donated their services to help the animals. Thank You!!!!
Rene is so gentle with Toby. Wish I had pictures of him working with colt Corbin. It was so magic I forgot to take pictures! He got Corbin to stand still and be brushed without a halter--only his gentle voice and body language!
Our volunteer Diane came to help hold Goldie. Since Goldie is old and stiff, Chelsea gave her many rest times.Sunday, March 25, 2012
Treats all alround
Not only do the animals get treats when Terra and Madie come visit but they bring special home baked bread for all of the humans. Yumm!Spring Break Help at Edwards Animals
Madie took Toby for a walk. He was wearing his beautiful new halter decorated by Pine Lane Student Council kids. Look how jacket and halter match.
Zack took Stage Stop Nathan Detroit for a walk.
Ryann took Thoroughly Modern Millie for a walk. Millie has on her new halter decorated by Pine Lane Student Council kids. Jacket and halter also match. What a fashion show we put on today!
Toby and Bucky get lots of attention by volunteer crew, Shania, Aaron, Dylan, Triston, and Asys. All animals love all the attention.
This is our berm that we hope will keep rain and snow from making such a sloppy mess. Trouble is that the rocks seem to have a mind of their own and keep "walking" away and need to be put back.
Jayna and KaelynnMae take Goldie for a walk.
Felicia walks Dealer. She is laughing because her special project yearling, Corbin, is making lots of noise in the round pen because he wants all of her attention!
Zack and Ryan give the llamas a special treat by letting them eat the best grass in the back yard.
All the animals were glad to have so many wonderful volunteers visit the. Polly, the pygmy goat, Mollie the Zebu, and the two llamas say a big Thank You to all the wonderful volunteers.Monday, March 19, 2012
